A teenager was beaten by a group of boys in broad daylight in St Albans Road, police say.

Police are looking to trace the victim, who has not yet been identified, and appealing for witnesses following the fight at around 4.40pm on Wednesday, June 10.

The altercation is believed to have involved four boys who allegedly punched and kicked a fifth unknown teenager.

Police said people nearby intervened to stop the incident however some of those involved, including the injured boy, ran away.

So far police have been unable to trace him and are appealing to him to come forward. He is described as a white male aged 17 or 18 years old and was wearing a blue tracksuit at the time.

PC Sophia Latif said: "So far in our enquiries into this incident we have been unable to trace the potential victim in this incident.

"I would appeal to him or anyone else who knows anything about it to come forward and speak to police as soon as possible."

  • Two boys, aged 13 and 15 years old, and from Watford, were arrested on suspicion of affray and have been released on police bail while investigations continue.
