The Archbishop of Canterbury sampled the services provided by a chaplaincy serving Watford’s waterways.
The Most Reverend Justin Welby visited the Watford Town Centre Chaplaincy’s Waterways team on Thursday, as he spoke to chaplains and service users while enjoying a cup of tea on the Grand Union Canal.
WTCC’s CEO and senior chaplain Richard Chewter said: “He was with us for about an hour with all sorts of clergy with him.
“The fact he wanted to see what we do, visit and speak to chaplains and the people who use us, along with his general comments, suggest he was impressed and interested in what we do.”
