Tributes have poured in for a Hornets fan killed in the Tunisia beach massacre.

Chris Dyer, 32, was shot in the head as he and his wife Gina Van Dort, 30, ran for cover into the Imperial Marhaba hotel garden.

A fund has been started by fellow Watford FC supporters in memory of the engineer.

His wife, who was shot in the face, survived the attack with severe injuries and was flown back to the UK today.

A tribute on the GoFundMe page reads: "Chris is a big fan of Watford Football Club. He went on holiday, to enjoy a nice break with his partner and didn't return home.

"This fund has been set up to support Chris' family as they try to recover from this horrible ordeal. I'm sure your financial support would be greatly appreciated as things like funeral costs can be quite extortionate.

"This fund will also help Gina, as she continues to fight through her own battle in hospital.

"Thank you for your support. Rest in peace Chris Dyer."

Mr Dyer was a member of the Watford Gracie Jiu-Jitsu club.

A message on the club's Facebook page offered the members' condolences to his family.

It said: "It is with great sorrow that we announce the tragic death of our teammate Chris Dyer as a result of the Tunisia shootings. Our hearts go out to his family. May he rest in peace."
