A swarm of thousands of honey bees have nested on the side of a house in north Watford.
The bees appeared and attached themselves to the house in Copsewood Road within an hour this afternoon.
Kasia Williams, who lives in the house, said: "In the beginning we did not know what was going on. We could just hear them, it was quite freaky really."
The 35-year-old trainee educational psychologist said the bees had taken up an area of about a metre across the wall.
Bee keepers have been called in to collect the swarm, but the nest is near the roof and a cherry picker is needed to gather the honey bees.
