M1 lane closed at Watford after 3 car smash leaves woman, 20, in hospital
A woman in her 20s is in hospital following a three-car collision at junction 5 (Watford) of the M1 this morning.
One lane of the southbound carriageway remains closed while the vehicles await recovery.
The collision, shortly before 8.40am, involved a black Nissan Micra, silver BMW 520 and a blue Toyota Rav4.
Police, ambulance and a fire engine from Borehamwood attended.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene. She was taken to Watford General Hospital with suspected chest and leg injuries.
Police remain at the scene.
