A charity based in Abbots Langley is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a fundraising Gala dinner later this year.

The last 35 years has seen DEMAND, based in Mallard Road, expand to another site in the north of England, and help well over 20,000 individuals living with disabilities along with their families and carers through the provision of bespoke, life enhancing equipment.

Denise Gillies, DEMAND fundraising manager, said: "On the night, live entertainment from Queen Deen and the Hornets and DJ Ian Frost will be sure to get all guests in the mood to celebrate and further support the life-changing work of DEMAND.

"Local businesses have kindly pledged their support by sponsoring the production of short films showcasing 5 local projects to create and provide much needed pieces of bespoke disability equipment.

"When unveiled at the Gala, guests will be invited to pledge their support the local projects of their choice."

The Gala dinner will take place at 7pm on September 25 at Watford FC 1881 Club.

Tickets are £65, which includes a cocktail reception and three course meal.

They can be purchased from Denise Gillies on 01923 681800, or email denise@demand.org.uk.
