Road works will begin on Pinner Road on Monday, July 20, as part of a £226,500 resurfacing scheme.

The work will take place overnight, between 8pm and 5am, on the A4008 from the junction with Capel Road leading on to Oxhey Lane to the junction with the A410 Uxbridge Road, using a full road closure.

It is expected that it will be completed over six nights, weather permitting.

The scheme also includes adjusting and renewing damaged iron work covers, reinstalling road markings and studs, reinstalling speed camera loops and cleaning all gullies within the newly resurfaced areas.

All noisy operations will be completed by midnight. However, work may occur outside the scheduled hours if unforeseen circumstances arise.

A signed alternative route will be in place. Access to properties during the working hours may be disrupted.

The council has asked residents not park in the work area during the publicised dates and times. Any parked vehicles which are holding up the works may be removed.

Any changes to the proposed start date, duration or working hours will be announced on the information boards on site and will be available at www.hertsdirect.org/roadworks.

Bus service routes may be affected by these works – for details of any changes you can visit www.intalink.org.uk – and look in the ‘service disruptions’ section.
