An annual summer event in Bedmond was "one almighty success" at the weekend.
Around 500 people attended Bedmond Sports and Social Club on Saturday to enjoy a number of activities at the village’s Summer Fair, from a bird of prey display and a raffle with prizes donated by Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
The event was organised by Bedmond Task Force and around £1,700 was taken on the day.
The money will go towards a new toilet block at Bedmond Village School.
Joy Mann, a member of the Task Force, said: "We raised considerably more than last year so I would describe the day as one almighty success.
"I think we have gone from good to better to best and we hope next year will exceed that.
"The highlight of the day was the bird of prey display. The bird handler was very willing to talk about the different birds and people were able to meet all the birds individually.
"Thrive Homes who were a part of the day said they enjoyed meeting with lots of people and the maypole dance and choir from Bedmond School who performed were most enjoyable.
"The school played a big part in helping organise the day."
