Thieves broke into a Watford home and stole jewellery, money and a grandmother clock.

Police said that between 9am and 12.15pm on July 10 thieves forced entry to doors at the back of house in The Ridgeway.

A number of items were taken during the burglary, including jewellery, money and a Comitti Grandmother Clock.

Officers are looking for two possible suspects.

The first is described as a white man aged 20 to 30 years old, between 5ft 7ins and 6ft tall. He was wearing a thin lightweight waterproof jacket and was carrying a dark suitcase.

The second was a white man who was also 20 to 30 years old and between 5ft 5ins tall and 5ft 7ins tall. He was possibly wearing shorts and carrying a ladies light coloured handbag.

Detective Constable Jennifer Stoddart said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the men described above, or saw anything suspicious to please contact me.

“I would also be keen to hear from anyone who believes they have seen a clock like this for sale since the burglary.”
