There has been an attempted burglary in Watford where people have gone into a back garden and tried to force a window, police said.

Between 7.30pm on July 10 and 10pm on July 11, the would-be thieves have gone in the back garden of a house in The Roundway and attempted to force open a rear window.

Damage was caused to the window but the offenders did not gain entry to the property.

PC Tony Lewis is investigating and said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area that day and saw anything suspicious to please contact me.”
