Two men have been arrested after a carjacking and robbery in Bushey last week.

Police said three robbers assaulted a man in his 50s in Claybury and two holdalls containing jewellery were stolen from the boot of his car.

The robbers than assaulted a man in his 30s in Sparrows Herne and pulled him from his car before driving off towards Bushey.

The car was later found set alight in Norbury Grove, in Mill Hill, London NW7.

A 35-year-old man from Oxfordshire has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and making threats to kill. He has been released on police bail until August 20.

A 66-year-old man from Barnet has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving. He has been released on police bail until August 21.

Police are continuing their enquiries.
