Almost 100 people attended a charity day in Watford and helped raise cash for three charities in south west Hertfordshire.
The charity day was held at Sun Sports and Social Club in, Bellmount Wood Avenue, on Sunday, July 19.
Councillor Eric Bishop is raising cash for Homestart, Box Cleva in South Oxhey and for Parkinson’s UK West Herts branch during his year as chairman of the council.
The event included a line dance workshop in the afternoon and a performance by award winning country and line dance artist Glenn Rogers in the evening.
Councillor Bishop said: “I would like to thank the Sun Sports & Social Club for hosting the event, Glenn Rogers for performing, our numerous helpers and most of all the people who attended making this a superb event for these great charities, which provide support and life changing help.
“Any donations to these organisations are deeply appreciated and I know they will benefit greatly from any financial support. All 3 charities would also like anyone who would like to volunteer to contact them directly.”
