Three weeks on from the Wimbledon final, tennis is set to take over two different sites across Three Rivers tomorrow.

Sports bosses in Three Rivers District Council have set up the tennis weekend and it will take over two sites in South Oxhey and Rickmansworth.

The tennis event is free. The event in South Oxhey is being held in South Oxhey Playing Fields, Green Lane and the event in Rickmansworth is being held at Scotsbridge Playing Fields, Park Road.

Ryan Watson, Sports Development Officer at Three Rivers District Council, said:

“We’ve teamed up with the LTA and Tennis Foundation to get more people playing more often as part of the Great British Tennis Weekend.

“Every session is free and takes place in a relaxed and fun environment at the public courts in South Oxhey and Rickmansworth.

“There is something for everyone with sessions including Cardio Tennis, Mini Tennis (for children) and junior and adult coaching.

“We will be providing the rackets and balls, so if you’ve never picked up a racket or just haven’t played for a while this is the perfect way to get involved.”

The event in South Oxhey starts at 10am and finishes at 1. The Rickmansworth event starts at 12pm and finishes at 4pm.
