A campaign has been launched to find a home for a cat who has been at the Watford shelter for 18 months.

Olivia was first bought to National Animal Welfare Trust after her owner passed away.

The black and white green eyed cat has become one of the top 15 overlooked rescue cats in the UK and the trust have teamed up with Cat Chat, in a bid to find her a new home.

Cat Chat is an online rescue and rehoming resource that rescue centre used to help rehome cats.

Olivia is a five-year-old, neutered female cat who needs a home with adults or families where she will be the only pet.

Stephanie Kaufman, spokesperson for National Animal Welfare Trust, said: "Olivia likes a good fuss and attention, but needs time to learn to trust you before she shows her affectionate side.

"She loves her food and has been on a diet since arriving in our care as she needs to lose weight. She needs to exercise as well to do this so will require outside access."
