Historical venues in Watford are set to open their doors to the public in September.
Churches, the town hall, a brewery and a mosque are amongst the venues taking part in Heritage Open Days for one weekend from Thursday, September 10, to Sunday, September 13.
Sarah Priestley, museum and heritage officer, said: “Access to these buildings and events are a great opportunity for the residents and visitors of Watford to see and learn about Watford’s past.
"Lots of work goes into looking after Watford’s heritage for future generations but we shouldn’t forget to enjoy them now.”
The free open days offer visitors the chance to taste some locally brewed beer, take a woodland walk, climb a church tower, observe prayers at a mosque and see the secret model dam used to develop the bouncing bomb.
