In the run up to their charity head shave later this month a couple have dyed their hair a second bright colour in a bid to raise more awareness and money.

Lynsey Austin, 31, and her husband Ben, 26, of College Road in Abbots Langley, are fundraising for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice based in Dorset by dying their hair a variety of fun colours and then shaving their hair off completely on August 14.

Two weeks ago, the couple dyed their hair bright pink and are now on to their second hair colour “mystic purple”.

The pair decided to support the hospice after hearing how a family they know benefited from its services.

The family the couple know have a five-year-old grandson named Cameron, who was born with a condition called posterior urethral valves - which occurs in boys and is due to a blockage in the urethra or the tube leading from the bladder to outside - and he is now a member of the hospice.

The couple will be dying their hair one final time before the head shave event.
