Two men pushed a teenager to the ground and robbed him in South Oxhey on Friday night.

A 17-year-old boy from Hemel Hempstead was walking along Hayling Road when two men got out of a parked 4x4 and pushed the teenager to the ground.

They then took the victim’s bag, emptied the contents onto the pavement, and stole a white iPhone 4S and about £30 in cash.

Detectives described the 4x4 as a black Nissan.

The first offender is described as a black man, aged in his early 20s, of medium build and around 5ft 8ins tall. He had short black hair.

The second offender is described as a white man, aged in his early 20s and of broad build. He had short brown hair and was wearing blue jeans and t-shirt.

Detective Constable Paul Burton from the Local Crime Unit is investigating and said: “This robbery happened in the early evening and in a residential area and so it’s possible someone may have witnessed the incident.

“I would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or the vehicle used by the offenders. Equally, I’d like to hear from anyone who believes they know the identity of the men.”

Anyone who has any information in relation to this incident is asked to contact DC Burton via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C3/15/775.
