A 12-year-old bone collector from Radlett is raising money for endangered species with his new project where artists create animals that could have been.

Sam Misan, of Canons Close, has recruited various artists aged 12-21 to take part in his World of Dawn project.

They are putting together "a world based on alternative plausible evolution," meaning creating species and environments based on the possible evolution of existing and prehistoric creatures.

Sam has revealed that one of the designs for the project is an environment based on the hollow insides of a bird’s bone.

Each artist in the group contributes their own drawings and ideas along with particular skills such as manga or realism using both digital and traditional methods. Each person also has their own job role in the project including idea generator and design developer.

Sam hopes to raise money for wildlife and animals, in particular big cats such as tigers and lynxes, by holding commissions.

He said: "Wildlife is the most precious thing on the earth and we can take so much from it whether it be creating species or designing products and buildings."
