A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in a taxi in Abbots Langley.
An argument broke out in a taxi in School Mead after 10.20pm and a man, believed to be the taxi driver, was stabbed in the hand with a sharp object.
The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed he was taken to Watford General Hospital where he is receiving further treatment.
Detective Inspector Phil Moss said: “This is not a regular occurrence in Abbots Langley and it is being thoroughly investigated.
“Our enquiries into the incident are on-going and I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and believes they witnessed what happened to contact police at the earliest opportunity.”
Witnesses are asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on 101.
