A free, weekly 5k park run in Aldenham is becoming "popular" say volunteers.
The timed runs, which started in June, take place every Saturday in Aldenham Park at 9am.
The event is currently run by six volunteers and is part of a health initiative funded by Hertsmere Borough Council.
Volunteer Tim Underhill said: "I think it is really important for people to come and discover running whether they’ve done it before or not, we are really pleased with the turn out and although we are in the early stages, they are getting more and more popular by the week.
"There are many positive aspects to the parkrun such as the friendly atmosphere, beautiful route and a great start to the weekend."
