Residents can find out more about the planned restoration works in Cassiobury Park this weekend.
Council officers will be by the pools in the park on Saturday, August 22, from 10am to 4pm to answer questions and talk about the changes.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill, said: “Cassiobury is Watford’s best loved public park and our principal green space. I know how important it is to our residents which is why we are taking this opportunity to restore some of its unique historical character for future generations to enjoy."
The project will create a walk linking the town centre to countryside via the park's historical landscape.
There are also plans to provide additional space for educational resources and catering, space for community groups and activities, more and better toilets and changing rooms, more opportunities for volunteering and greater protection of natural habitats, including Whippendell Woods.
The team will also be at the pools on Thursday, September 3, from 10am to 4pm.
