Animal lovers are invited to a day of dog shows, agility courses and gift stalls at the National Animal Welfare Trust’s summer open day in Watford.
The Bank Holiday Monday show will feature more than 20 stalls with pet accessories, gifts, homemade cakes, and tombola.
There will be a raffle with prizes including family passes to Woburn Safari Park and hampers packed with wine, chocolate and gardening goodies.
Visitors are also encouraged bring along their dogs to join in with a dog show or show off their skills on a have-a-go-agility course.
Jackie de Friez, Watford centre manager, said: "We hope that lots of people will join us to enjoy this exciting day and get involved with all of the activities.
"Last year saw 13 animals finding new homes and this is a great opportunity to show the important work of the Welfare Trust and maybe find homes for a few more.”
Proceeds from the summer open day will go to the rescue centre, which provides safety and rehabilitation to dogs, cats and small animals.
The event will start at 11am on Monday, August 31, and finish at 3pm, in the National Animal Welfare Trust Hertfordshire , Tylers Way, Watford-By-Pass.
Entry is £2 for adults, £1 for under-16s and £1 for senior citizens. Free parking is available at the Mercure London Watford Hotel.
