Vicki Vivacious, Sandra London, Gurls on Tour and Krystall Ball when amongst the acts which performed in the cabaret marquee and the community stage saw the likes of The Nimblewits, Tall Dark Friend and Eva La Diva.

The event has taken place each year since 2013 and is organised by the Herts Pride Society.

Tyson Martin, chairman of the society, said: “The weather and the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was having fun in the park enjoying the entertainment either on the community stage or in the cabaret marquee.

“It was truly a fun filled and an amazing day.

“I am also again really thrilled with the turnout of people joining us at our third Herts Pride event.

“We had over several thousand people joining us on the day.

“The theme this year was ‘dream it, love it, be it’. All Pride events are important to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community as it allows us to come together in a safe place, where we can feel socially accepted and where the whole community of Hertfordshire can get together as one.”

Ben Wallington, the event coordinator on the day, added: “I was thrilled to see so many people enjoying themselves on the day, in particular lots of families which is an aspect we always make sure we try and include in our planning of the event.”

Mr Martin has also thanked the supporters of the event for their financial support.

He said: “I would like to thank all our sponsors, supporters, stallholders and all our volunteers.

“Thank you to Watford Borough Council for allowing us to have use of Cassiobury Park to host this event and a big thank you to the residents of Cassiobury Park.

“The management committee worked very hard throughout the year and on the day to ensure the event ran as smoothly as possible.”
