Senior figures at a Northwood hospice are “delighted” after they unveiled a revamped family room.
The Michael Sobell Hospice, in Rickmansworth Road, unveiled its newly refurbished family room on Wednesday, August 19.
Celebrity interior designer Linda Barker opened the room after a team from intu Uxbridge re-painted the room and fitted new furniture.
Ursula Reeve, Head of Palliative Care at Michael Sobell Hospice, said, “We are delighted with the makeover.
"The new look family room is bright, comfortable and welcoming and will be a lovely area for our patients, their families and our staff to spend time in.
“Many thanks to everyone involved at intu Uxbridge for making this project happen.”
intu Uxbridge hopes to raise £25,000 for the Rickmansworth Road hospice and this would go towards a new nurse.
Lisa Trodd, Assistant Marketing Manager at intu Uxbridge, said “It was fantastic to be able to support our chosen charity of the year Michael Sobell Hospice by giving their family room a revamp this week, with thanks to our wonderful staff.
“We hope that the new rooms will be warmly welcomes by families of those under their care.”
