A popular bakery was just one affected by the series of flash floods caused by the heavy downpour on Wednesday.

The rain had caused Cinnamon Square in Church Street, Rickmansworth to become flooded with water.

They said on social media that this was not the first time their bakery had been "wrecked" by the flooding and urged Three Rivers Council to do something about the drainage in the area.

Motorists were also experiencing traffic chaos due surface water. Roads near the Dome roundabout and Rickmansworth Road, Watford and Church Walk in Bushey were completely flooded.

Train tracks near Radlett and Watford were also under water causing delays to commuters travelling in and out of London. The London Overground was partially suspended as a result and the Thameslink line going through Radlett and St Albans had delays of 25 minutes.

In Bushey, the paddling pool at King George's Recreation Ground has been closed as the heavy downpour has resulted in the drains becoming damage. Hertsmere Borough Council have said they are trying to fix this as quickly as possible.
