A canister of laughing gas was stolen from inside an ambulance in Abbots Langley on Tuesday night.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said a nitrous oxide canister – which is more commonly known as laughing gas – was taken from an ambulance parked in Tibbs Hill Road just before 10pm on Tuesday, August 25.
Officers said the thief ran escaped through a nearby alleyway.
The suspect is described as a man, aged 16 to 19, of slight build. He was wearing a light grey hoodie and light-coloured trousers.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any other information about the theft, to contact them on the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C2/15/2011.
