There are delays on the M1 southbound after two cars collided this morning.
The accident happened between junction 6 and 5 (Watford).
Emergency services closed the motorway for a short while to clear debris.
Herts Fire and Rescue also attended the scene and had to cut the roof of one of the cars.
One lane out of three remains closed.
Normal traffic conditions are expected after 11.30am.
