The jury will retire to consider its verdicts today in the case of the teacher accused of having a 12-month affair with a boy pupil.
Jenine Saville-King, 29, now living in Hook in Hampshire is alleged to have had sex romps with the boy when he was just 15 years old while she was teaching at a Watford school.
She pleads not guilty to seven charges of sexual activity with a child and one offence of abuse of trust.
At St Albans Crown Court last week, Saville-King's alleged victim was accused of making up the allegations to upset his mother, who was annoyed with him for having a relationship with a woman who was 35 at the time.
The boy, now 18, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told his mother he had been pursued by Saville-King, 29, after he wanted to stop the relationship.
But the court was read a text message from the alleged victim sent at the time, saying: "I will do absolutely anything for you. You're my life. Love you for ever baby."
The alleged relationship between the boy and Saville-King came to the school's attention when the alleged victim's former girlfriend, aged 17, got hold of a picture of Saville-King and the boy taken on his mobile phone.
