A team of fitness enthusiasts have vowed to stick together while taking part in Peace Hospice Care’s Push It obstacle run next month.

Debbie Bishop, owner of the Exercise studio in Croxley Green, and her colleague Carly Parker from Croxley Tanning and Beauty will embark on a five mile course which includes thirty wet muddy obstacles to raise money for the hospice on Saturday, October 3.

The event is not timed and is taking place on private land near Butterfly World, Chiswell Green.

Both ladies have also organised extra charity initiatives to boost their fundraising total.

Ms Bishop will be running training sessions specifically for people taking part in Push It for the Peace at her Fuller Way-based studio and Ms Parker will be holding a Ladies Evening at the salon on Friday, September 25 with goodies to purchase and a raffle.

Ms Bishop said: "When I mentioned entering a team for Push It, some of my clients were concerned about the challenge, but everyone was reassured when I suggested we stick together and help each other around the course.

"I won’t be charging for these Tuesday evening or Saturday morning classes, but donations will be very welcome. The focus will be on building endurance, improving confidence and having some fun."

Registration for the event costs £45, although an early-bird rate of £35 is available until Sunday, September 6.

This fee covers the cost of the event only so participants are being asked to collect an additional £50 per person in sponsorship to help Peace Hospice Care raise the £4 million needed each year to keep its services running.
