A Kings Langley woman has swam more 2,000 metres to raise money to furnish a new school building.
Jo O'Sullivan was sponsored to do the Solent swim, swimming from Hurst point to Colwell Bay on the Isle of Wight.
Mrs O'Sullivan, who completed the swim earlier this summer, raised £3,388 for the Kings Langley School Furnish and Equip fund.
The school has received funding from the Education Funding Agency to build a new building, however, there is no money provided to furnish and equip the classrooms.
Chair of the Governors, Frances Stickley, said: "The school is extremely grateful to Mrs O'Sullivan for her wonderful effort on behalf of the school and its students."
Mrs O'Sullivan presented a cheque to head teacher Gary Lewis on Monday, September 28.
