A Christmas market and charity abseil down the steeple of St Mary’s Church in Watford town centre will take place next weekend.
Home-Start Watford and Three Rivers are is asking residents to join in the Snowflake Challenge on Saturday, November 14.
The voluntary organisation offers support, friendship and practical help to families, but lost funding for its home visiting service from Hertfordshire County Council earlier this year.
Emma Power, scheme manager for the Watford branch, said she hoped as many people as possible would sign up for the sponsored Snowflake abseil.
A Snowflake Christmas Market will be taking place in St Mary’s Church hall at the same time.
Registration to abseil is £40 and sponsorship forms are available on request.
Snowflake fancy dress is optional.
For more information and a registration form, contact the Home-Start office on 01923 248010.
