Peace Hospice Care’s annual Lights of Love remembrance ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 2.

The event, which this year will take place outside Watford Central Library, is aimed at everyone in the community who wishes to remember someone they’ve lost.

Lights of Love is a family occasion and open to people of all faiths and backgrounds. People who have no connection to the hospice are also very welcome to attend.

The tree lights will be switched on by Jess Hall in memory of her father, Les. Their family turned to Peace Hospice Care when Les was seriously ill and Jess said the hospice “brought shelter in the middle of a massive storm”.

Starting at 7.30pm, the ceremony will include carols and readings, the opportunity for guests to dedicate a light in memory of their loved one, and to send a message of dedication.

After the ceremony, guests are invited for refreshments and to view dedications in the council chambers at Watford Town Hall.

Details about Lights of Love and dedication forms are available at Watford Central Library and Peace Hospice Care.

People can also register to attend the ceremony, send a message of dedication and give a donation in memory online at www.peace hospicecare.org.uk/lightsoflove or by calling 01923 330 340.
