Watford people are being urged to have their say about changes that could shape the town's skyline.
Watford Borough Council is creating a new policy to ensure that all tall buildings are well designed and in appropriate locations.
It has received a rising number of planning applications for buildings between seven and 10 storeys high.
The policy sets out to guarantee applications will only be accepted for high quality, architecturally exciting structures that both protect important local views and create an iconic skyline for the town.
Elected Mayor Dorothy Thornhill said: “These proposals could have a big impact on how Watford looks for years to come, so it's important that residents give their views when we open the consultation after Christmas.”
The consultation will be published on www.watford.gov.uk
