Cyclist undergoes emergency surgery

The cyclist injured in a road collision in Station Road, Watford, on Monday, has undergone emergency surgery.

The 38-year-old man underwent surgery yesterday at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queens Square London.

His condition is described as stable and no longer life threatening.

The cyclist collided with a blue Ford Transit van at about 2pm on Monday as he turned from Station Road into Woodford Road.

Herts police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident to call them on 01923 472388.
