Police are appealing for information after a series of bike thefts at railway stations across south west Hertfordshire.

British Transport Police are re-appealing for information in connection with five bikes, which have a combined value of about £1,900, stolen from stations in Watford, Kings Langley and Croxley.

Officers are treating the thefts as linked and have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to as part of their investigation.

A grey Trek mountain bike, worth £500, was taken from Watford tube station between 8.30am and 8pm on Thursday, August 13.

A £200 black Carrera bike was taken at Croxley Underground Station on Wednesday, September 30.

A black Dahon Vitesse worth £400 and it's lock were stolen from the same station on Thursday, June 11.

While two bikes, belonging to a couple, with a combined value of £800, were taken from Kings Langley Station on Monday, June 22.

Police have also linked five other bike thefts in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

None of the bikes have so far been recovered and officers are now appealing for the public’s help identifying two men from CCTV images.

PC Alexander Norstrom said: "Who are these men? We are confident someone will recognise this distinctive-looking duo from these CCTV images.

"We need to speak to them as a matter of urgency about these thefts, as we believe they have important information.

"If you know who they are please contact BTP or Crimestoppers as soon as possible."
