The set of the new Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was severely damaged by storm Barney.

The storm on Tuesday night – which is only the second UK storm strong enough to be named - led to 400 plus members of the crew and cast being evacuated from the site in Leavesden.

Images released in the national media reveal the massive green screen was torn apart, leaving the multi-million pound setter in chaos.

Winds reached up to 70mph in the county and power lines were cut off for several hours.

The film, which stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, started filming in Liverpool last month before moving to the Warner Bros studio.

Written by J. K Rowling, it’s set in New York in the 1920s – 70 years before Harry Potter.

Filming has since resumed.
