A CCTV image have been released following a robbery near Watford Junction train station.

The incident happened around 7.30pm on September 11 in Bridle Path near Watford Junction where a 16-year-old boy was walking along the road when he was approached by someone who assaulted him.

The boy managed to run away but was then followed and assaulted again where his mobile phone was stolen and the offenders left in the direction of the underpass towards Church Road, Watford.

Detective Constable Tanzeem Siddiqui said: “Thankfully the victim was not seriously injured but understandably this has left him shaken.

“We’d like to identify the three people picture as they may be able to assist us with our investigation.

“I appreciate the images are not of a high quality but the clothes they are wearing are quite distinctive and someone may recognise them.”

Anyone who recognises the people pictured should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on their non-emergency number 101.
