A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital after an accident near a primary school in South Oxhey.
The teenager was taken to Watford General Hospital with a suspected head injury after being hit by a Range Rover in Gosforth Lane.
A section of Gosforth Lane has been closed after the crash, which happened just before 4pm.
Police are still at the scene.
Hollie Cowan, spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service, said: "We treated a teenage boy with a suspected head injury.
"He has been taken to Watford General Hospital for further care. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening."
