More than 230 people attended St John’s Synagogue, in London, to celebrate the 25th anniversary for Immanuel College, in Bushey.

On November 17, the school celebrated its anniversary with a musical extravaganza and parents, staff and pupils attended the evening.

The all-male choir, The Shabbaton Choir were led by Immanuel’s Choral director Stephen Levey and performed some Jewish prayers and songs.

Headteacher Charles Dormer said: “What better reason for sharing a dinner and music, than to raise money to make the school even better?

“We will be able to make major improvements to our sports and performing arts facilities thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the hard work of the parents and staff who organised the 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner.

“Holding the event at St. John’s Wood, hosting the Shabbaton Choir and hearing so many of our own children sing with them all contributed to an unforgettably special evening.”
