Christmas presents and jewellery have been stolen by thieves who broke into a home in Carpenders Park.
Detectives investigating the burglary are appealing for witnesses and information.
Thieves forced open the rear patio doors to a property in Margeholes between 3.30pm and 7.30pm on Thursday, December 10.
Whilst the occupants weren’t home items of jewellery and Christmas presents were stolen, including a yellow gold heart pendant filled with stones, a nine-carat gold diamond cut cross, which is over 100 years old, and a Dabs blu-ray internal drive.
Detective Constable Paul Burton said: “This has been a very upsetting to the victims who have had their property stolen, at such a close time to Christmas.
“I would like to speak with anyone who remembers seeing anything unusual or suspicious in the area between the stated times. The smallest amount of information could greatly assist my investigation.
“Equally, I’d like to hear from anyone who is offered items similar to those described for sale.”
Anyone with information can contact DC Burton via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C3/15/1257.
