A replica gun and a portable fridge were among the items stolen from a garage in Rickmansworth.

A garage in Bury Meadows was broken into and a MG42 replica air soft gun, an orange portable fridge, expensive golf clubs and fishing equipment were stolen.

Detectives believe the garage - one of 16 at the end of the street - was broken into between Thursday, November 26 and Sunday December 6.

Sergeant Neil Canning from the Rickmansworth Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Not only are we appealing for anyone who may have seen something suspicious or unusual in the area between the stated times, we’d also like to hear from anyone who has been offered the stolen items for sale, as they are very distinctive.

“I would also like to send a very clear warning to the person responsible for the theft, with particular reference to the replica gun, as being caught with such an item will hold very serious consequences.
