A new civic square is at the centre of plans to redevelop space in central Watford.
Watford Borough Council wants to maximise the open space in Hempstead Road - around the Central Library, the Town Hall, West Herts College, the Avenues Clinic and the peace and war memorials.
The scheme consists of a new civic square that links the Town Hall and library, a new library garden with seating and upgraded library entrance, upgraded surfacing and formal planting to frame the peace and war memorials and shared pedestrian and cycle lane approach continued from The Parade.
A public consultation on the proposed scheme will take place on Monday, February 22 between 3pm and 7pm at the Town Hall.
