WSFL Intermediate Cup Quarter-Final

Gadeside Rangers threw off the disappointment of exiting the Challenge Cup at the same stage the previous week to go through to the semi-finals with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over a very competitive West Herts thanks to a strike from leading scorer Adam Hills on Sunday.

WSFL Junior Cup Quarter-Final

In a match between the top and bottom sides from the third division, leaders Tudor Vets struggled to overcome gallant basement team Woodlands United but eventually won 3-0 with a goal from Jason Blake and a Gary Wicks brace.

Bell Rangers or Evergreen now stand in the way of Tudor and a place in the final.

Another tie between two Division Three sides saw mid-table Sun Postal Sports win through 2-1 at home against Green Dragon Reserves thanks to goals from Jake Wilsmore and Ben Williams, with Nathan Singh replying for the visitors.

In their semi-final, Sun will now meet either Fox and Hounds or Bushey Sports Club from the fourth division.

Premier Division

Struggling Oxhey Estates’ poor run continues and they were no match for visitors Reed Rangers, going down 4-0 to a goal from Dominic David and a hat-trick by Jamie Speer to consolidate the leaders’ position at the top of the table.

Despite moving six points clear, Reed will be nervously looking over their shoulders at Oakview and St Josephs who both have games in hand.

Division One

Mid-table South Oxhey Labour Club entertained AFC Oddfellows but lost 2-1 despite a goal from Robbie Martin.

Efforts from Dave Wilson and Joe Fox catapulted AFC from bottom spot to mid-table with this hard-fought away victory.

North Watford were unable to build on their previous week’s win, going down 1-0 at West Watford who took the points with a goal from Hameed Khan.

While this win boosted West Watford’s hopes of securing a promotion spot, Chorleywood Club remain serious contenders with games in hand.

Division Two

Colne Valley moved back to top spot with another fine win, this time a 6-0 triumph over third-placed Langleybury Cricket Club.

Tom Seamons, Dave Rooney and Max Harris continued their scoring run with Joe Murphy, Mark Hansard and Sean Owens also getting in on the act.

Home side Oxhey Rangers were swamped by RD FC, losing 8-1.

Jake Levy led the charge with four goals, supported by strikes from Sam Smith, Oliver Mussi, Sam Ryder and Elliot Myrants-Wilson. Ryan Walsh netted for the second week running for Rangers.

Draw specialists Cassiobury Rangers shared the points with fellow mid-table side Rifle Volunteer Reserves after a 2-2 draw courtesy of goals from Rob Ladmore and, for the second week running, Joe Mortimer. Strikes from the home side’s Myles Hall and Tom Locke ensured honours finished even.

Division Three

Cassiobury Revolution moved off the foot of the table with a 5-0 victory over fellow strugglers Railway Arms.

Will Keddy starred for the visitors with a hat-trick and Paul Sherlock and Paul Coleman also found the net.

Division Four

AC Little Silhouette of Milan were no match for visitors Ripstone FC, who rose into third spot with a 4-0 win thanks to a hat-trick from Olly Brill and a strike by Red O'Donoghue.

Woodlands Laurels moved up to fifth spot with a 6-4 home win against strugglers Chess United.

Repeating his performance of seven days previously, Besi Brama again netted twice and there were further strikes from Daniel Okoro, Lee Woodward, Peter Challis and Chris Farr.
