A former Watford footballer has pleaded guilty to sexual activity with a child.
Adam Johnson, who has played 12 times for England as well as playing for Watford FC on a three-month loan in 2007, appeared at Bradford Crown Court on February 10.
The 28-year-old winger admitted one count of sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming but denies two charges of sexual activity with a girl under 16.
Mr Johnson joined Watford FC in September 2007. He played 12 times with the club and scored five times before returning to Middlesbrough.
