To welcome in the spring, Watford Borough Council is launching a two-week town-wide spring clean and is looking for residents to get involved.
The start of the spring clean coincides with the national Clean for the Queen campaign which runs on March 4 to 6.
The council is aiming to have the highest number of clean-up activities of any town in the UK by inviting everyone to take part.
Members of the public are being asked to help the council achieve this goal by organising a clean-up in their street, around a school or office or even in a local park.
The various clean-up groups around the town will take part in the two-week programme which starts on March 4 and finishes on March 18.
Partners, Veolia, are providing clean-up kits including gloves, litter-pickers and special purple bin bags.
The kits are subject to availability and its first come, first served and all the clean-ups will be plotted on a map on the council website.
Anyone interested should contact Veolia to order a kit and they will need a date, time and area that will be cleaned.
Contact Veolia on enquiries.watford@veolia.co.uk or call during offices hours on 0203 567 6900.
