Watford loanee Adalberto Peñaranda won a first half penalty to help Granada earn a crucial 1-0 win over Deportivo de La Coruña in La Liga.

The Venezuelan youngster and fellow Hornets loanee Abdoulaye Doucoure were both named in the starting XI by new Nazaríes boss José González, who replaced José Ramón Sandoval last week.

Peñaranda played 59 minutes of the game before being replaced but he created the visitors’ winner midway through the first half.

The 18-year-old collected a pass on the left flank, jinked past a defender and moved into the Deportivo box before being brought down by another Hornets loanee, Juanfran (video below).

Granada were awarded a spot kick which was taken and converted by striker Youssef El Arabi.

Doucoure would go on to play the entire game for El Graná and impressed on his full debut for the club.

Isaac Success, who is expected to join Watford in the summer, was brought off in second half injury time.
