A major road in Rickmansworth is to close next week.

Rectory Road will be closed so engineers from Transport for London can move the new bridge from Victoria Close to Station Road.

The road will be closed from the Ebury Roundabout to the Chorleywood Road roundabout next Friday. It is due to reopen the following Monday.

Victoria Close has been closed since Wednesday, January 6, acting as a construction compound for the new bridge. It will reopen on Friday, April 15.

A diversion will be in place taking motorists down Uxbridge Road and on to Denham Way before heading on the M25.
