Quique Sanchez Flores says Watford will have to check the fitness of Odion Ighalo ahead of the Hornets’ Premier League clash with Stoke City on Saturday.

The Nigerian striker has featured in every one of the Golden Boys’ top flight fixtures this season but came off early during last weekend’s FA Cup quarter final victory over Arsenal with a slight muscle problem.

Ighalo has trained this week but speaking to the press this morning, Flores said a decision on the 26-year-old will be made tomorrow.

“We have to check,” Flores said. “At this moment we have three or four players who are recovering.

"My feeling is some of them will be OK but not all the players will be ready. But we will know for sure tomorrow.”

Jose Manuel Jurado, who returned to the squad against Arsenal after a month out, is not one of those struggling for fitness. “He is OK,” Flores confirmed.

Miguel Britos is a doubt for the game as he is still struggling with a calf injury.

Joel Ekstrand did travel to the Emirates and undertook the warm-up with the Watford squad, however, it is unlikely he will be fit to face the Potters.

Tommie Hoban remains ruled out with a groin problem which has plagued him for the entire campaign.
