Traffic has come to a halt due to flooding.

There is a large queue of traffic on Heathbourne Road, in Bushey, due to a flooding.

The road is the main road taking traffic to Harrow and connects to the M25 and the M1.

Former Hertsmere Borough Councillor Leslie Winters, said: "I am very angry about this. It is absolutely chaos.

"The road has a dip in it which is always filled with water at some point.

"Today it is about three or four foot deep. It should have been foreseen.

"The council have done nothing about this for years. No one is doing anything about it."

Traffic on Woodstock Road, Bushey, is also stationary due to the traffic on Heathbourne Road.

According to Mr Winters, the water is pouring out of a gully.

Hertfordshire County Council's contractor Ringway is on site who have called Thames Water who are responsible for dealing with the flooding.

Juliette Woolf, of Bushey, said: "The water main in Heathbourne Road has burst and the usual single land flood has spread across the whole width of the road.

"It's can not be fixed until either Affinity Water or Thames Water admit ownership and both are currently denying it's their responsibility."

According to Mrs Woolf once the water companies admit who is responsible for it, a gully sucker will be brought in and the water will be drained within an hour.

Traffic is currently being diverted away from the area.
