Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a vulnerable missing man.

Lamasiviayam Kamalakanthan, 72, has been missing since this morning and needs essential medication as he suffers from dementia and diabetes.

Also known as Kanthan, he is described as 5ft 8 inches tall, thin build, with straight black short hair. He has a prosthetic right leg below the knee.

Kanthan was last seen at near his home in Churchfields at 9am today.

He was seen wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, dark grey trousers and maroon shoes with Velcro straps.

It is believed he was also riding a black Raleigh bicycle with red details and a basket on the front.

Sergeant Karl Barton, from Watford Police station said: “Kanthan is very vulnerable – not only because of his ages but also because of his medical conditions and he has not taken his medication this afternoon.

"We are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare with every minute that passes.

"I would urge anyone, who may have seen Kanthan or who knows of his whereabouts to call Police immediately on 101 quoting ISR 449 of April 27th.”
